# Ethereum compatibility

The first practical and widely used smart contract platform was Ethereum.To take advantage of relatively established applications and communities, FOGR chose to be compatible with the existing Ethereum master network.This means that most of the DApp, ecosystem components and tools will be used with FOGR with little change or even change.
